What customers say?

“ I love this place! They have such an amazing selection of fresh food and drinks for such a small place! They also have this gluten free polenta bread that is to die for! The breakfast sandwiches and lattes are my favorites, but my partner says everything is good! Skip the Starbucks downtown and hit this place instead! From the food to the service, you won't be sorry! ”

“ I picked up an iced malted mocha latte and a breakfast burrito with sausage this morning and immediately knew I had to write a review. I’m visiting Richmond for a few weeks and have tried a couple of the highly reviewed coffee shops in the area (roastology & Ironclad). While they were good, they didn’t leave me wanting to rush back. Greenbriar left me wanting to run back and hand over my wallet and maybe even my first born child. This place is incredibly good. The iced malted mocha latte was incredibly creamy with a perfect dose of chocolate. I haven’t had a latte this good since visiting Seattle two years ago. The breakfast burrito was incredible and enormous. The sausage was nice and spicy, the eggs were perfectly scrambled, and the pico was on on-point. It is definitely big enough to split or save some for later. It was counter service with a few tables outside to wait so I wouldn’t recommend trying to work/study from there. Overall this place is a hidden gem with delicious coffee and tasty food. I highly recommend it and I’m only sad that I found this place in my last week here. ”

“ Best breakfast burrito, maybe even best burrito in the city period. I plan my day around getting that thing and have startled people with how passionately I talk about it. Live Love Greenbriar ”

“ I love this place, definitely my favorite coffee shop on campus. They always have new fun drinks. My favorite thing here is the Brunswick bagel. I just wished they had indoor seating and were open more often, but still love it! The people running the place are very kind as well. ”

“ Located along Main Street, Greenbrier Cafe is a hidden gem that captures the heart of Richmond's culinary scene. This is the one location I can truly say I’ve never been disappointed which their food or service and I’ve been going for 3 years. What sets Greenbrier Cafe apart is their dedication to excellence. Each dish is infused with care and creativity, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the city. And what's more delightful is that each item on the menu is named after a street in Richmond, adding a unique touch of local charm. But beyond the exceptional food, it's the sense of community that truly sets Greenbrier Cafe apart. Here, you're not just a customer; you're part of the family. The friendly staff goes above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of extraordinary. ”

“ Excellent breakfast and latte! Sad to see passersby with chain coffee, missing out on this gem. The bacon, egg, and cheese on sourdough was perfect, and the lightly sweetened specialty iced latte was great too. The day we came there was only ordering at the door with seating outside, but that was perfect. ”

“ It really is one of those places that you can just go in and relax. I dont think I have said anything about this place since the pandemic hit. They have reopened recently with a kiosk like take out service. No cash is exchanged and everyone is wearing masks. They have even set up a tent to give patrons a place to wait that is relatively comfortable while keeping socially distant. Yes they will turn you away if you don't have a mask, and no they won't take cash. They are still kicking out great good and drink on their limited menu so don't hesitate to give them a try! ”
